Probably the *only* reason to bite your behind if you’re interested in electronic gaming and don’t speak any German
If you *do* speak German and qualify as gaming geek, go and order the latest
edition of Winnie Forster’s flagship title “Spielkonsolen und Heimcomputer” which translates to “Game Consoles and Home
Computers”.
Winnie did publish an English version of the second edition of the book which has long been sold
out. Used copies of “The Encyclopedia of Game Machines” (official English
title) are currently being traded at amazon.com for 250 USD and up. Nagging via email might help
with another print run ;)
I don’t know of any better book on the topic, despite owning pretty
much every comparable title to have been published in the western
world in the last 20 years.
Layout, organization and content are simply stellar.
The photo shows all three editions of the book to have been published to date.
Say “hi” to him from me via the order form and let me know what you
think of it once you’ve had a chance to browse/read its 240 pages of
well-researched facts and great photographs ;)
