Sam and Max cameo appearance in The Secret of Monkey Island.
I had a faint memory of having heard/read something like Steve Purcell having included Max cameos in some LucasArts games, but I did not know whether or not I remembered correctly. I certainly did not expect my favorite freelance police duo to show up as early as in a 1990 Monkey Island 1.
The wikipedia entry on Steve mentions cameo appearances of Sam & Max in LucasArts games, but does not list any specifics.
Well, to my late evening amusement and thanks to tonight’s classic adventure gaming session I know a little more. Click on the image to be taken to a higher resolution version of the screenshot with mouseover notes, pinpointing the crazy rabbit and his pal.
