I always wanted to have real-time shared editing within my favorite IDE. Given the algorithmic nature of this project, I thought of it to be interesting from a development point of view as well. So I dug into a couple of papers, translated and adapted the concepts to my needs and voilà as of a week or so ago the core synchronization mechanism is more or less done.

Sometime last week I put together a screencast showcasing the functionality from a user perspective. IMHO the stats reveal that quite a few Eclipsers are interested in real-time shared editing.
