Waking up with “Cradle of Love” once more OR when MTV was actually running music videos
It is incredible how often I find myself thanking YouTube for the wealth of music
videos from my teenage years it hoards.
What better way to wake up than with a playlist full of your favorite
mood-matching music videos, lighting up the room, running on your big
screen LCD? Billy Idol makes the start this morning with the excellent
Cradle of
Love - enjoy the vid right after the jump.
Does this remind anybody else of the times when MTV did not suck and
was actually running music videos? What happened? Did the
proliferation of cell phone ringtone commercials nuke music videos out
of the program schedule?
Does Viacom see a deeper truth in their particular flavor of mindless
entertainment programming for their leading
multimedia brand for today’s youth[sic]?
